Freshfields continues strategic growth in Paris with antitrust partner appointment

Global law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has today announced that Charlotte Colin-Dubuisson, a leading practitioner in antitrust and foreign investment, will join the firm as partner. She will join the Antitrust, Competition and Trade team in Paris which is led by partner Jérôme Philippe.

Colin-Dubuisson is experienced in EU and French competition law and has a strong market reputation. She has significant experience in particular in relation to Fast Moving Consumer Goods markets, as well as the optical retail, luxury, waste management, metal and auto-parts sectors.

Freshfields’ Antitrust, Competition and Trade Practice Group Leader Alastair Chapman said: “I am delighted to welcome Charlotte. She will broaden our offer in Paris and will be a fantastic addition, working alongside Jérôme Philippe to drive forward our market leading practice.”

Jérôme Philippe added: “The appointment demonstrates our strategic ambitions for the growth of our Paris office. We are all looking forward to work with Charlotte on French and cross-border matters.”

The appointment follows the hire of Colin Raftery in London from the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) as well as the expansion of the U.S. antitrust team with the litigators Heather Lamberg and Tina Sessions last year.
