We all know that cultural and legal norms vary significantly from country to country. As cross-border litigations, arbitrations and investigations increasingly become the norm, it is critical to understand how our behaviors as lawyers might be perceived by clients, colleagues, adversaries, experts, and adjudicators in other countries. We have convened a panel of attorneys from around the globe to discuss differences between cultures and legal systems that cross-border litigators may encounter—and how to best navigate those differences so as to position your case for success. The panel will reflect on their own experiences and will focus on tips for minimizing cross-cultural faux pas.
