About Dr. Tobias Timmann
Tobias is an expert in the field of intellectual property and tech litigation.
Tobias is a partner in the Düsseldorf office, where he has been based since 2010. He is an experienced litigator whose work ranges from disputes in copyright and trademark law, to advising on unfair competition law and trade secret protection, to advising on the new regulations in the digital sector, such as the Digital Services Act and the Digital Markets Act.
Tobias regularly advises on trade secret, unfair competition and trademark disputes, product launches, strategic brand positioning, marketing campaigns, consumer protection issues, and legal challenges relating to digital change, online distribution, and new media. He also advises companies in the technology sector on implementation and disputes with competitors and users in relation to EU digital legislation and contractual claims. His non-contentious work includes advising on licensing, distribution, and R&D agreements as well as IP aspects of M&A transactions.

- Advising the world leading manufacturer of track construction machines in a dispute against two former employees regarding the infringement of trade secrets.
