Ziyad is a partner based in our London Global Transactions Practice.

Ziyad acts for corporate and institutional clients on cross-border corporate transactions, including public and private M&A.  He advises clients across a broad range of sectors, including tech, media, education and retail.

Ziyad also regularly advises listed companies on corporate governance matters.

Ziyad has previously been seconded to Freshfields’ Dubai office as well as Pearson plc's corporate finance and strategy team.

Ziyad is a CLLS Company Law Committee member.

He is fluent in Arabic.

• Pearson on various acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures, including the sale of the Financial Times Group to Nikkei, the sale of its 50 per cent stake in The Economist Group and the Penguin Random House joint venture.
• AB InBev on its divestments of Carlton & United Breweries and of its Peroni, Grolsch and Meantime businesses to the Asahi Group.
• Cazoo on its Series D funding round and acquisition of Imperial Car Supermarkets prior to its de-SPAC.
• Carta Inc. on its acquisitions of equity management and fund administration platform businesses Capdesk and Vauban
