About Janet Jones-Duffey
Janet is a principal associate in our Brussels antitrust, competition and trade group. Her practice covers all aspects of global merger control, antitrust investigations, and antitrust litigation.
As a US-licensed practitioner, she brings extensive knowledge of US enforcement to multi-jurisdictional transactions and has represented multiple clients before US authorities and courts. She has advised clients on complex transactions from preliminary antitrust analyses through Phase II/second request investigations, including advocacy engagement and negotiations of remedies, as well as compliance best practices. Her practice spans a range of industry sectors, with substantial experience in telecommunications, media and technology, in particular. Prior to joining Freshfields, Janet completed a federal court clerkship in the Eastern District of Louisiana and practiced competition law with another international law firm in New York.
