About Yoel Gordon
Yoel is a corporate associate in our global transactions group in London, specialising in advising FTSE clients and international corporates on cross-border M&A transactions, joint ventures and general corporate and listed company matters.
During his time with Freshfields, Yoel has spent time on secondment to the M&A legal team at a leading international defence company.
Recent work
Yoel's experience includes advising:
- bp on the sale to Apollo of a non-controlling stake in bp’s subsidiary that holds a 20% interest in the Trans Adriatic Pipeline for approximately $1bn.
- BAE Systems on Air Astana's $847 million IPO and listings on the London Stock Exchange, Astana International Exchange and Kazakhstan Stock Exchange.
- London Stock Exchange Group on:
- its 10-year, multi-billion pound strategic collaboration with Microsoft for next-generation data, analytics and cloud infrastructure solutions;
- its £750m on-market buyback programme; and
- the exit by the Blackstone/Thomson Reuters consortium (the former Refinitiv shareholders), including the monetisation by the former Refinitiv shareholders of approximately £11.5bn through block trades and directed buybacks.
- Rentokil Initial on its $6.7bn acquisition of Terminix.
- Cazoo on its $7bn de-SPAC and US listing and various strategic bolt-on acquisitions.
- AstraZeneca on its $39bn acquisition of Alexion Pharmaceuticals.
- Novartis on the acquisition by Sandoz of GSK's cephalosporin antibiotics business.
