About Jean-François Gerard

Jean-François is global head of practice development for the firm's people and reward group.

He is also a lawyer at the Brussels Bar and specialises in international employment law.

Jean-François joined Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in April 2007. His role focuses on further raising the profile of the people and reward group through business development and client relationship management across Freshfields' international network of offices and on practice management. It also includes knowledge management and the development of new products for the practice as well as international client project management in the HR legal field.

Next to his practice role, Jean-François helped launch Freshfields' relationship programme with law firms we work with around the world. The programme, called StrongerTogether and which he co-ordinated for a number of years, looks at further developing Freshfields' relationship with a number of law firms around the world with a view to improving the quality of the service we collectively deliver to clients.

Jean-François is fluent in English, Dutch and French.
