About Patrick Deady

Patrick is an associate in our London tax practice and advises corporates, financial institutions and investment funds across a variety of business sectors.

Patrick advises on the tax aspects of a range of transactional and advisory matters, including private and public M&A transactions, financings and corporate restructurings.  He also advises on tax disputes and litigation. 

Patrick trained at Freshfields and spent time on secondment to Universal Music Group International as a trainee.

• Advising Universal Music Group on its acquisition of Mavin Global, a leading Nigeria-based music label
• Advising Mars, Incorporated and Hive Bidco, Inc. on Hive Bidco, Inc's recommended cash offer for Hotel Chocolat Group plc
• Advising BDT & MSD and its portfolio company, Culligan International, on the acquisition of a significant portion of Primo Water's international business 
• Advising Schenck Process Group, a leading provider of sustainable, integrated measuring and process technology solutions, on the sale of its food and performance materials business to Hillenbrand, Inc
• Advising Saint-Gobain on the sale of all of its merchanting brands in the UK - including the builders and timber merchant Jewson - to the Stark group 
• Advising Carta, Inc. on its acquisition of Vauban Technologies Limited
• Advising Blackstone and its portfolio company, Schenck Process, on the sale of Schenck Process's mining business 
• Advising CVC Capital Partners VIII on its €4.5 billion acquisition of ekaterra B.V., the holding company of Unilever's global tea business 
• Advising CVC Capital Partners VIII and System C on its acquisition of WellSky’s UK business
• Advising AEA Investors on the acquisition of the Polygon Group
• Advising CVC Capital Partners VIII on its majority investment in Rayner
• Advising iCON Infrastructure and ITOCHU Corporation on their disposal of Bristol Water to the Pennon Group
