About Elizabeth Curran

Elizabeth is Special Counsel in our dispute resolution group, based in New York. She is a versatile litigator with a decade of experience assisting clients in various high-stakes litigations. Elizabeth maintains a practice that focuses on a wide array of commercial disputes including complex commercial transactions, fraud claims, fiduciary duty claims, and major contractual disputes. She has guided clients ranging from hedge funds, to banks, to large corporations at all stages of litigation, from pre-suit negotiations, through complex electronic discovery, to trial and appeal. She has represented clients in state and federal courts as well as various arbitral tribunals.

Elizabeth is fluent in English and Russian.

Recent work

  • Counsel for Portfolio Advisors in a putative class action in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia where schoolteacher plan participants allege Portfolio Advisors recommended inappropriate private equity investments.
  • Counsel for Industrial and Commercial Bank of China in several actions relating to an alleged Ponzi scheme.
  • Represented certain bondholders of the Puerto Rico Employee Retirement System in connection with their financial rights under the instrumentality’s debt adjustment plan.
  • Represented trustees, including HSBC and US Bank in residential mortgage-backed securities cases.
