About Jake Bullock
Jake is an associate in Freshfields' antitrust, competition and trade practice group. His work covers all aspects of UK and EU competition law, including merger control, investigations, abuse of dominance and compliance and risk management strategies.
He also advises clients on navigating global foreign investment regimes, including the UK National Security & Investment regime.
Jake has advised clients across a wide range of industries, with a particular focus on the technology, media and telecoms, life sciences and financial services sectors.
Currently based in London, Jake has also spent time on secondment to our Washington DC office.
Jake speaks English and French.

Jake's experience includes advising:
- A global technology company on various competition-related matters, including merger control reviews and regulatory investigations across several jurisdictions.
- A major financial institution on the competition law aspects of an arbitration in front of the ICDR.
- eBay on its $295mn acquisition of TCGplayer.
- Novartis on the merger control, foreign investment and regulatory aspects relating to a number of confidential projects and M&A transactions.
- CVC on the merger control aspects of its investments into Six Nations Rugby and Ligue de Football Professionnel.
- Octopus Energy on the foreign investment aspects relating to its most recent round of investment.
- Cargill on its $4.5bn acquisition of Nasdaq-listed Sanderson Farms and concurrent combination of Sanderson Farms with privately-held Wayne Farms.
- Cargotec on its proposed merger with Konecranes in the cargo handling industry to create a combined group with sales of €7bn, involving the first parallel phase 2 review of a transaction by the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) and the European Commission.
