About Judith Bremer, LL.M.
Judith is an Associate in our Derivatives and Structured Finance group.
She specialises in advising global banks, corporates, and other financial institutions on a variety of structured capital markets products and structured finance. Her focus is on cleared and non-cleared, OTC and exchange-traded derivatives and related netting and regulatory questions. She also advises complex cross-border financing transactions, including project finance, ABS financings and securitisations.
Furthermore, she has experience in the area of digital capital markets, including crypto currencies and other DLT-based capital markets products.
Prior to joining Freshfields in 2024, Judith worked as an associate at another international law firm in Frankfurt where she advised German and international banks and other financial services providers, including FinTechs and e-money institutions, on all aspects of financial regulatory law. She completed her legal education in Frankfurt, Singapore and New York.
Judith speaks German, English and French.

- Advising Barclays Bank Ireland PLC on the sale of its consumer finance business
- Advising a global bank on the acquisition of a company with respect to the financing agreements, including syndicated loans, receivables purchase agreements, and DRV-based hedges
- Advising a global bank on the implementation of a complex collateralisation structure including, inter alia, netting and pledge mechanisms, for CRR credit risk mitigation purposes
- Advising on financial regulatory matters in the context of an acquisition of a German bank
- Advising a German private bank on their application as a member to an international clearing house
- Advising a global bank on the implementation of CRR credit risk mitigation techniques such as credit default swaps, pledges, guarantees
- Advising an international bank in their issuance of an electronic bond
