About Andreas Aigner

Andreas is a member of the firm's global transactions group and practises in the area of restructuring and insolvency.

He advises corporates and lenders in the context of out-of court and in-court financial restructurings, refinancings, and distressed transactions with a special focus on cross-border and multinational situations with complex capital structures. 

Andreas has completed a stage at our New York office.

Andreas speaks English and German. 

Recent work

Advising Tele Columbus AG, one of Germany's leading fiber optic network operators, on its refinancing, including the amendment and extension of its senior debt of approximately €1.1 billion by way of an English Scheme of Arrangement with a capital injection of €300 million from its largest indirect shareholder.

Advising Siemens Energy on guarantee lines with a consortium of banks and the German government in a volume of around € 12 billion.

Advising a state-owned coorporation on a paramaount city construction project in relation to the group insolvency of the project developer.

Advising the Asian shareholder of a fashion lifestyle brand in connection with the refinancing of the group's financial liabilities under the shareholder's lead.

Advising a banking syndicate on an amendment to the loan agreements of a major German automotive supplier with production on several continents in the amount of approximately € 1.2 billion.

Advising a borrower in the context of an A&E transaction, whereby the loan serves as underlying notes collateral (commercial mortgage-backed securities), in the amount of approximately € 550 million.

Advising a leading European logistics providerin connection with the insolvency of an essential supplier of materials handling equipment.

Qualifications

Clerk at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court, stages i.a. at the European Commission in Brussels and in New York

LL.M. at the University of Michigan as a Fulbright Scholar and Michigan Grotius Fellow

Studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg and the University of Passau as a scholarship holder of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation

Semester abroad at Stellenbosch University, South Africa
