Partner and Head of NA Agriculture and Food, McKinsey & Company
Daniel is a partner based in McKinsey’s New York office and the head of its North America Agriculture and Food practice. Daniel advises global agricultural and specialty chemicals companies, along with investors in the sector, on corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial excellence. In his advisory work, he helps agribusiness and chemicals companies thrive and pursue performance and health transformations. He has worked with clients all over the world, including Latin America, Europe, Israel, China and South Asia. Daniel currently leads a McKinsey biotech initiative, an effort seeking to develop distinctive capabilities for achieving productivity gains in microbial solutions. Other recent experience includes dedicating two years to support a global mega-merger in the agricultural inputs sector, driving more than $1bn of synergies while helping to put in place a new operating model; developing a global corporate strategy for an agricultural inputs company, driving segment-specific initiatives and setting a new R&D strategy; leading a global food waste reduction initiative, including a detailed action plan for South East Asia; and leading a biotech venture through a partnership with a leading strain improvement platform.
